IPTVnator

This is a community package of IPTVnator, maintained independently. It repackages the official upstream build unmodified and uses the same app id as upstream's own Flatpak build.

IPTVnator is a cross-platform IPTV player for user-supplied playlists and portal connections.

It supports M3U and M3U8 playlists, Xtream Codes API, and Stalker portals with EPG, catch-up, favorites, and external player integration.

The app does not include channels, playlists, or media catalogs. Any IPTV sources, logos, metadata, and programme information come from services the user configures.

Permissions follow upstream's own Flatpak build: network, audio, and your home directory for opening playlist files. One permission is left out: upstream's build can start an external player (MPV or VLC installed on your system), which requires letting the app run commands on the host. To enable it: flatpak override --user --talk-name=org.freedesktop.Flatpak com.fourgray.iptvnator.

The built-in player plays streams out of the box. The optional embedded MPV player needs libmpv, which this package does not include; leave the player setting on the built-in player.

Updates come through Flatpak. If the application says a new release is available, update with Flatpak instead of installing it from the app.
