About
This is a community package of DBFlux, maintained independently. It repackages the official upstream build unmodified.
DBFlux is a database client written in Rust with the GPUI toolkit, built around the keyboard and one workspace for every database you use.
- Built-in drivers for PostgreSQL, Redshift, MySQL and MariaDB, SQLite, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, InfluxDB, ClickHouse, Turso and libSQL, DuckDB, CloudWatch Logs and S3.
- Multi-tab SQL editor, virtualized result tables with inline editing, and a visual query builder.
- Charts and dashboards from any query result.
- SSH tunnels, SOCKS5 and HTTP proxies, and AWS SSO and SSM access profiles.
- An MCP server for AI agents, gated by trusted clients, policies and an audit log.
The package has network access to reach your databases, keeps passwords and secrets in your desktop keyring, and has no filesystem grant: settings, history and the audit log stay in the application's private per-app directory, and database files, scripts and exports go through the file chooser portal. It bundles Noto Sans CJK so Chinese, Japanese and Korean text renders on any host.
Connection hooks and external RPC drivers run inside the sandbox, so they only see the commands the freedesktop runtime provides. The MCP server runs with flatpak run dev.dbflux.DBFlux mcp --client-id ID.
Optional grants, each with flatpak override --user: --filesystem=~/.ssh:ro --socket=ssh-auth for SSH key and agent authentication on tunnels; --filesystem=~/.aws to import AWS profiles and share the AWS SSO cache; --filesystem=/path/to/databases so SQLite and DuckDB connections keep working across restarts. Remove custom grants with flatpak override --user --reset dev.dbflux.DBFlux.
