About

This is a community package of Altair GraphQL Client, maintained independently. It repackages the official upstream build unmodified.

Altair is a GraphQL client for writing, running and debugging queries against any GraphQL server. Its features include:

  • Schema-aware autocompletion and a documentation explorer that can add fields to the query for you.
  • Headers, variables, file uploads and subscriptions over WebSocket, SSE and other transports.
  • Environments, pre-request and post-request scripts.
  • Collections and query history, with import and export.
  • Multiple windows and tabs, themes and a plugin system.

The package has network access, so it can reach local and remote GraphQL endpoints, and no filesystem grant: collections, backups and query files are opened and saved through the file chooser portal. Settings and saved queries stay in the application's private per-app directory.

Updates come through Flatpak. If the application offers to download an update itself, ignore it and update with Flatpak instead.
